Talat Aziz

Based in Hyderabad, Talat Aziz is a multifaceted artist who has made a name for himself as a Ghazal singer, music composer, and actor. His music is characterized by its calming quality, leaving a lasting impression on his audience. Aziz's musical journey began with training in the Kirana Gharana tradition, followed by guidance from esteemed musicians such as Ustad Samad Khan, Ustad Faiyyaz Ahmed Khan, and the legendary Mehdi Hassan. His debut album, released in 1980 under the mentorship of Jagjit Singh, marked the beginning of a prolific career. Aziz has since released numerous albums, collaborating with a range of talented artists, including Sonu Nigam, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Ghulam Ali, Hariharan, and Pankaj Udhas. In addition to his work in music, Aziz has also composed scores for various television serials, such as Deewar, Baaz, Adhikaar, Ghutan, Sailaab, Aashirwad, and Noorjahan. His work in film includes composing music and singing for the feature film Majaz: Ae Gham-e-Dil Kya Karun. Some of his most notable songs include 'phir chhidi raat', 'yeh ishq nahin asan', and 'chahenge tujhe par kabhi'.
