Hailing from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, Sumit Sourav has established himself as a prominent figure in India's comedy scene. Growing up, he was a reserved and introspective individual, yet he was drawn to the world of performance. While pursuing engineering in Kolkata, Sumit Sourav discovered his passion for acting, public speaking, and comedy. He began to hone his craft by participating in plays, presentations, and open mic nights, where he initially faced challenges but eventually found his footing. After completing his studies, Sumit Sourav landed a job as a VFX designer at the edtech startup Byju's in Bengaluru. However, his true calling remained in the realm of comedy, and he took a chance by auditioning for Comicstaan S2. His comedic talents have since been showcased through various video releases, including Inter Cast Marriage, Pizza Story, and Dusra Baccha Kyun Karte Hai? which can be found on his YouTube channel.
