Sujatha Mohan

With a career spanning over four decades, Sujatha Mohan has established herself as a prominent figure in the South Indian music scene, with a repertoire that encompasses Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi. Her impressive discography boasts over 10,000 songs, solidifying her position as one of the most prolific singers in the Malayalam music industry. Sujatha's musical journey began at a young age, with early performances alongside the legendary Yesudas, taking her to stages around the world. She made her recording debut while still in the 6th grade, marking the beginning of a long and illustrious career. As a leading vocalist in the South Indian music industry, Sujatha has had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned composers, including A.R. Rehman, with whom she worked extensively in the 1980s and 1990s. Her Tamil film debut came with the song Kalai Paniyil from the 1978 film Gayathri, featuring Sridevi and Rajinikanth, with music by the iconic Ilaiyaraja. Throughout her career, Sujatha has garnered numerous awards, including Asianet Film Awards, Kerala State Film Awards, and Tamil Nadu Film Awards. One of her notable Hindi songs is Rafta Rafta Haule Haule from the movie Hulchul.
