Shashwat's musical journey began at the tender age of three, with a foundation in Hindustani classical vocals and rhythm. As he grew, so did his passion for music, leading him to pursue professional training in classical music and instruments. This early start paved the way for a career that would take him to Hollywood, where he honed his skills in music production. Shashwat's breakthrough in the Indian film industry came with the movie Phillauri, marking the beginning of a successful streak in Bollywood. He went on to compose the title song for the 2018 black comedy film Kaalakaandi, starring Saif Ali Khan. His versatility as a composer is evident in his work on films like Veere Di Wedding, where he contributed to several songs. In addition to his film work, Shashwat has also made a mark in the world of streaming services, composing music and scores for the Netflix series Selection Day. One of his most notable projects is the 2019 film Uri: The Surgical Strike, for which he created the music. The film's soundtrack received widespread acclaim, and his background score was so well-received that it was released separately due to popular demand. Shashwat has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Sunidhi Chauhan, Nakash Aziz, Arijit Singh, Neha Kakkar, and Daler Mehndi, among others. His recent releases include songs like Shades of Cashmera, Attack Theam-LA LA LA, and Chal Hatt, showcasing his continued growth and creativity as a composer.
