Prosenjit Chatterjee

Prosenjit Chatterjee is a veteran Indian film actor and producer, renowned for his contributions to both Bengali and Hindi cinema. His illustrious career began as a child actor in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 'Chotto Jigyasa', which earned him the prestigious Bengal Film Journalists' Association Award for Outstanding Work of the Year. As Prosenjit transitioned to adult roles, he took on his first leading part in Bimal Roy's 'Duti Pata', marking a significant milestone in his journey. His entry into Bollywood came with David Dawan's 1990 film 'Aandhiyan'. One of his notable Bengali films is 'Chokher Bali', starring alongside Aishwarya Rai and garnering widespread acclaim. Prosenjit's exceptional performance in 'Dosar' earned him the Best Actor Award in 2006, in addition to a National Film Award for Special Jury Award.
