Kailash Kher is a highly acclaimed Indian vocalist, renowned for his soulful Bollywood playback, Sufi, and classical renditions. As a distinguished instrumentalist, he has been conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri award, a rare honor bestowed upon him. With a vast repertoire of over 700 songs in more than 9 languages, Kailash Kher's distinctive voice has captivated audiences nationwide. His breakthrough song, Allah ke Bande, from the film Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II, catapulted him to fame, establishing him as a prominent singing sensation in Bollywood. He went on to lend his voice to a multitude of songs in the Bollywood film Mangal Pandey: The Rising. Other notable tracks, such as O Sikander from Corporate and Teri Deewani from his band Kailasa's eponymous album, have garnered significant attention. The song Ya Rabba from the film Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute to Love also achieved remarkable sales. As the lead vocalist of Kailasa, Kailash Kher has performed over 1,000 live concerts globally, including a notable performance at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as part of the Maximum India festival in March 2011. He also had the privilege of performing at the closing ceremony of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Throughout his career, Kailash Kher has accumulated an impressive array of awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer and the Indian Telly Award for Best Title Song.
